Position: Electrical Engineering Manager

The position will require full on-site support at DZYNE Technologies facility located in Irvine, CA.
Position Description:
DZYNE Technologies is building a highly skilled team that thrives in the design, development, test and manufacturing of intelligent, autonomous vehicles. This role will work in a vehicle development and manufacturing environment where projects are realized with the highest degree of commitment to quality and speed to market. The DZYNE Technologies team is looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager who will be responsible for leading a team of engineers through the successful development and maturation of a rapidly growing family of unmanned aerial vehicles. This is a multi-faceted position where you will be asked to function as playing manager whose direct contribution to the programs will account for the majority of their time, and management/supervisory duties will account for the remaining.

Required Skills/ Qualifications:
- Experience in technically and administratively leading small to medium size technical teams
- Fundamental knowledge and understanding of electrical systems and components
- Experience in designing robotic and/or aircraft control systems
- Electrical design using CAD software (Zuken and Altium Preferred)
- Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Possess strong verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening, questioning, clarifying and summarizing skills to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings
- Hands-on experience with electrical components and assemblies
- Hands-on experience with electrical components, assemblies, soldering / harness building / testing PCBA boards
- Ability to create and follow standard processes and clearly document results
- Ability to read, understand and interpret technical information (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards, and specifications)
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Military and/or UAV experience is a plus
- Familiar with MIL spec hardware and harnessing standards
Responsibilities:
- Manage resources
- Provide technical oversight of the team, and assure output quality
- Strategically coordinate with other departments and groups
- Provide oversight and support to the team
- Monitor team performance
- Architect an electrical system suitable for an aircraft system, inclusive of flight controls, propulsion, RF devices and payloads
- Architect electrical system suitable for a Ground Control Station
- Select LRUs suitable for the vehicle and its applications
- Select electrical components such as Connectors, Harnesses, Batteries, wire gauge, etc. suitable for the application
- Troubleshoot any electrical issue taking place in the manufacturing environment as well as in operational environment
- Create and maintain work instructions for an aircraft production environment
- Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, establishing standards, confirming manufacturing processes
- Document designs and analyses with written reports, presentations, and Engineering drawings
- Characterize, analyze, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years professional experience dealing with Electronics components and systems inclusive of motor controls
Clearance/Level Required:
No Security Clearance is required, but it is highly desired.
Travel:
Less than 10% travel is expected.

- Must have the ability to stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
- Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.
- May be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.
Other Requirements:
It is an essential requirement for the person in this role to have a legal right to work in the United States and be eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization and DoD Clearance.
Salary: $160,000 - $190,000 annual salary
Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.

Pay Range: $160,000 - $190,000 per year
