Senior System Engineer 100% (w/m/d)
Purpose of the position
• Strengthening the system competence of Elma Electronic
• Project management of customer-specific system solutions
• Conceptualizing and developing system solutions
• Technical mentoring of the engineering team in the area of system solutions
Your tasks
• Technical support for sales
• Review of customer requirements and, if necessary, completion of the specifications in close cooperation with the customer, preparation of the specifications
• System/product concept and design according to specifications
• Design of solutions regarding thermal properties, EMC safety, mechanical stability (shock, vibration, dust, moisture) and economic producibility.
• Close coordination with the industrialization engineer, if necessary the mechanical engineering and construction, and possibly external partners.
• Project management according to product development process along customer specifications
• Documentation according to the quality management system (functional requirements, design specifications)
• Technical responsibility for the elimination of quality deviations
• Technical responsibility for customer complaints and dealing with suppliers
Your profile
• Electrical Engineer (MSc. ETH/FH)
• Project management certification (IPMA, Prince2 or similar) is an advantage
• 10 years of experience in developing solutions (project management), ideally in an electronics-related industry sector
• Very good knowledge of PLM, CAE and simulation systems
• In-depth knowledge of embedded systems, computing, bus systems such as CPCI-S, VPX, COM Express, and general system integration. Experience in cybersecurity is an advantage.
• Experience with standards from the defense and railway sectors.
• Experience in cost optimization of designs (modularity, manufacturing optimization in close cooperation with design)
• Structured and independent working style, quick comprehension
• Communicative, responsible and proactive personality with leadership qualities
• Enthusiastic and engaging personality
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
• Experience with quality-oriented work according to EN 9100 (or ISO 13485)
• Willingness to travel
