The ideal candidate will have experience working with LiDAR point cloud data and CAD software.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Classifying and processing LIDAR point cloud data (aerial and/or mobile)
- Proficiency with one or more of the following mapping softwares: Microstation/AutoCAD,TerraScan-TerraModeler, TopoDOT or other LiDAR processing softwares.
- Proficiency registering, adjusting, and refining point clouds. Experience processing airborne and terrestrial LiDAR, LiDAR classification and DEM creation
- Knowledge of surveying, photogrammetry and mapping practices with an understanding of how to edit and extract data from point clouds for creating mapping deliverables.
- Attention to detail in order to QA/QC mapping products.
- Candidates must be detail oriented and willing to adapt workflows to changing technologies and work multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability and desire to learn and utilize new systems
- 1-3 years of related experience. Minimum of 1 year of experience with emphasis on LiDAR data classification and extraction (required)
- US work authorization (required)
EDUCATION: Engineering, Survey or Geospatial Services degree preferred
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: This position is based in our Bloomfield Hills, Michigan HQ and
reports directly to our Geospatial Operations team. Working remotely will be considered for applicants with
requisite experience.
