Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on skills and experience
As a Front End Engineer at Beam, you will play a crucial role in building and enhancing the front-ends for a range of innovative Beam products, primarily using React and TypeScript. You will be an integral member of a cross-functional team, contributing to the development of products such as SubSLAM, Autonomy, and the Vaantage suite. Additionally, you will collaborate with the UI Team to define and implement best practices for UI development across the organization, offering your expert insights to ensure consistency and excellence.

- Designing, prototyping, and developing the Front-End to solve complex problems
- Advocating for User Experience design and guiding the Engineering teams
- Collaborating with Researchers, Designers, and Engineers to build consensus
- Modifying and testing changes to previously developed products
- Breaking down requirements and building appropriate solutions
- Contribute to and uphold agile development practices
- Guide and build consistency in design and an exceptional user experience

- Experience of developing production-level ReactJS and Typescript for front end applications.
- Using end-to-end testing frameworks, such as: Playwright/Cypress and Selenium
- Using APIs and data sources to build interactive and engaging applications
- Software development tooling, such as: Git, Docker and CI/CD pipelines
Grow together with Beam where you will learn and use the following:
- Building web-based applications for desktop or embedded environment, such as using Electron.
- Working with a Linux environment
- Familiarity with state management tools such as Redux or Zustand
- Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack or Vite
