Do you thrive on innovation and solving complex technical challenges? At Milrem Robotics, we are at the forefront of cutting-edge defense technology, developing autonomous and robotic systems on an unprecedented scale. If so, apply now and join us on our journey!
We’re looking for a LEAD ENGINEER (POWER DISTRIBUTION) who will take ownership of developing power distribution systems for our unmanned ground vehicles and other defense applications. This includes both high- and low-voltage distribution units, ensuring our systems operate more effectively, safely, and reliably for longer periods.
You will lead a team of engineers (currently around 3 people), fostering their professional growth and ensuring project success. This role offers a mix of hands-on engineering and leadership responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to make a tangible impact while driving the development of technical solutions in your field.
What you'll be doing:
- Planning and executing the roadmap for development projects in your area in close collaboration with your stakeholders (end-customers, suppliers and other teams): from defining the scope, requirements and deliverables until installation, testing and commissioning.
- Leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers: keeping them engaged and ensuring performance, providing support and instructions where necessary, and contributing to their professional and personal development.
- Ensuring that systems comply with (military and automotive) industry standards, safety protocols and other regulations.
- Influencing your domain beyond your team: staying updated on relevant industry developments and actively contributing to defining and developing best practices and processes for electrical design.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience with leading product development projects (ideally safety and function critical) with a proactive mindset (actively identifying project needs, providing solutions and removing obstacles).
- At least 5 years of experience working as an Electrical Engineer, including designing power distribution systems and creating electrical and harness drawings.
- Previous experience leading an engineering team, including strong people skills.
- Preferably, in-depth knowledge of electric and hybrid vehicles and automotive power distribution systems.
- Experience with and knowledge of standardization and certification of products.
- Understanding of system engineering principles (i.e., experience creating and working with requirements and system descriptions).
- Proficiency in using relevant software, such as CADMATIC or RapidHarness.
- Second level higher education in engineering.
- Very good English skills (level B2).
What we offer:
- Opportunities to implement your thoughts and ideas with a dedicated and innovative team.
- Opportunities for self-development in an ambitious international company with colleagues and leaders who believe in the potential of the high-tech industry.
- Opportunities to contribute to shaping the future of the world.
- Support in-house career steps and sporting options/health insurance, extra free days and leave, work in international teams, flexible working options, etc.
