Part of the BMT Group, BMT Aerospace is a designer and manufacturer of gears and mechanical components for the aerospace industry. We employ a total of 560 workers and have a consolidated annual turnover of 100 million dollars.

BMT Aerospace is active in five key market segments: high lift actuation gears, turbine engine gearboxes, shafts & couplings, high-precision detail gears, and bevel, helical and ring gears.

Our high lift actuation gear products, such as sector gears and pinions are produced to meet customer specifications and stringent quality standards, always pursuing the aerospace industry’s target of weight reduction. Our state-of-the-art equipment and specialist in-house knowledge spans accurate design, high-strength steels, super-efficient heat treatments, surface treatments and surface enhancement

We also produce turbine engine gearboxes, shafts & couplings, high-precision detail gears, and bevel, helical and ring gears are manufactured at our facilities in the United States and Romania.

BMT Aerospace is active in almost every major aerospace platform, including Airbus’s A320, A330, A350 and A380, Boeing’s 787, Bombardier’s C- series and CRJ, Embraer’s ERJ 170/190, Irkut’s MC-21 and the Sukhoi Superjet. We make helicopter parts for Sikorsky and Bell, as well as gears and gearboxes for engine manufacturers like Rolls Royce, General Electric, Honeywell, Safran and UTC. From time to time, we also participate in space programmes.
