Job description
At Advanced Protection Systems SA, we create unique counter-drone systems based on the latest radar technologies. We design and manufacture all components ourselves: from integrated circuits, through electronics, mechatronics, to advanced software and final implementation. Our innovative solutions enable us to detect all moving objects, even those as difficult to detect as micro-drones or small birds. Our technology has been successfully implemented in many demanding industries, such as defense and security, critical and government infrastructure, and airports.
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our engineering team. This role will be responsible for the design, analysis, and integration of complex technical systems. This role covers the full system lifecycle—from requirements analysis, through architectural design, to validation and test support.
Scope of duties:
- Analysis and decomposition of system requirements (including customer and normative requirements).
- Designing system architecture (hardware, software, sensors, effectors, connectivity).
- Defining interfaces between subsystems.
- Supervision of the technical consistency of solutions during project development.
- Collaboration with teams: electronics, mechanics, software, algorithms and testing.
- Participation in integration, system testing and validation processes.
- Preparing and maintaining system documentation.
- Identification of technical risks and support for decision-making processes.
Job requirements
- Higher technical education (automation, electronics, mechatronics, computer science, aviation or related).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a related role.
- Ability to work with requirements (system requirements, traceability).
- Understanding the architecture of complex systems.
- Experience in working with technical documentation, creating documentation and analyzing project documentation.
- Ability to think analytically and solve technical problems.
- Knowledge of English enabling work with technical documentation at least B2.
- Reside in the Tricity area and be willing to work on-site in the office in Gdynia.
- Obtaining a certificate of no criminal record from the National Criminal Records Office.
Welcome
- Experience in projects for the defense or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of norms and standards (e.g. MIL-STD, Defense Standards).
- Participation in environmental or qualification testing of systems.
We offer:
- Stable working conditions in a dynamically developing industry;
- Flexible forms of employment tailored to your needs and preferences (employment contract, B2B, contract of mandate);
- Flexible working hours;
