Dufour Aerospace develops efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft based on the tilt-wing principle. They take off and land vertically like a helicopter, but fly as fast and economically as an airplane. While the propellers are electrically driven, hybrid elements ensure a sufficiently long range.

Dufour Aerospace develops efficient and sustainable aircraft for cargo transportation, logistics and public safety. It uses distributed electric propulsion and a hybrid module to be able to meet today's Advanced Air Mobility and medium-sized drone market requirements.

Tasks

Creating 3D designs with Onshape
Creating drawings that comply with manufacturing and standards
Creating concepts and feasibility studies as well as simple functional prototypes (e.g. 3D printing)
Collaboration with other departments (calculation, production) to ensure that the designs meet the requirements.
Support in optimizing existing designs and implementing improvements regarding "Design for Manufacturing" and "Design for Cost".

Creating 3D designs with Onshape
Creation of production and standard-compliant drawings
Developing concepts and feasibility studies, as well as simple functional prototypes (eg, 3D printing)
Collaborating with other departments (stress, production) to ensure that the design meets the requirements
Assisting in optimizing existing designs and implementing improvements regarding "Design for Manufacturing" and "Design for Cost"

qualification

Completed training as a design engineer, mechanical engineer or in a related field
Several years of experience in the application of 3D CAD
Solid knowledge of mechanical design and development
Knowledge in the field of fiber-reinforced composites is a plus.
Enthusiasm for aviation, teamwork skills, a structured work approach and technical understanding.
Good German skills, both spoken and written; good English skills, both spoken and written.

Completed training as a designer, mechanical engineer, or in a related field
Several years of experience in using 3D CAD
In-depth knowledge of mechanical design and development
Knowledge in the field of fiber composite is a plus
Passion for aviation, teamwork, structured working approach, and technical understanding
Good knowledge of German, both spoken and written, and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
