Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Rostock, Germany location.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Development and design of electronic assemblies with a focus on PCB design and circuit board development
- Creation of schematics, PCB layouts, manufacturing data, bill of materials, and technical documentation in collaboration with the development team
- Re-engineering and optimization of existing circuit boards, electronic assemblies, and circuits
- Selection and evaluation of electronic components, taking into account function, manufacturability, and cost
- Conducting and supporting electrical testing, commissioning, and failure analysis on assemblies and prototypes
- Technical coordination with production, development, and customer service regarding product-specific issues
- Ensuring development complies with relevant norms, standards, and design guidelines
- Documenting development status, changes, and technical decisions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or a comparable qualification
- Practical experience in PCB design and the development of printed circuit boards
- Knowledge of schematic design, layout development, and electronic circuits
- Experience with CAD/EDA tools for PCB development is a plus
- Basic knowledge of electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic assemblies
- Understanding of electronic assembly manufacturing processes and DFM/DFT considerations
- German and English at least at the B2 level
- Structured, solution-oriented, and team-oriented approach to work
