Merging this autopilot hardware with a cloud connection allows the use of cloud based data products and application specific SaaS platforms which are able to automate many of the customers' processes. In today’s world most waterborne activities are still executed with manned vessels. These vessels require significant OPEX and CAPEX, mainly related to the presence of people on board of the vessel. Reducing these vessels to smaller, maybe even single purpose, autonomous platforms, cuts away most of the TCO.
