Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Rostock, Germany office.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer with focus on hardware development of battery management systems, you will be working in a dynamic team environment and be interested in contributing to the direction of future Kraken products. The location is in our office in Rostock, Germany.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and design of a battery management system for subsea batteries
- Ongoing PCB design
- Close cooperation with the firmware development and mechanics departments
- Use of the latest power electronics and thermal management
- Development from the idea, through the design of individual components, to the complete battery
- Creation of test setups, planning and execution of tests for product qualification
- Documentation, cooperation in the approval / qualification of battery hardware
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- University Degree in the field of electrical engineer
- Basic knowledge of batteries and battery management systems
- Knowledge of circuit board design, circuit diagram development and technical documentation
- Knowledge of working with microcontrollers (ideally STM32), bus systems, sensor technology
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Excellent communication skills in German (C1) and English (min. B2)
- Self-driven and strong organizational skills to work on multiple projects alongside all of Kraken global offices
- Flexibility, team spirit and willingness to take responsibility
- Ideally proficient in Office 365, including Teams and SharePoint
