Kontrop is looking for an Electronics Department Manager. A unique opportunity for an interesting and challenging position that combines managing teams of electronics engineers and providing professional guidance for the development of advanced electro-optical systems while meeting high quality standards.
Reporting to the VP of R&D and Engineering.
Areas of responsibility:
- Management and leadership of Embedded SW, Board Design, FPGA, and Video Processing teams, including professional guidance, personal development, and leadership to meet goals.
- Guidance and management of teams in accordance with system requirements in the field of electronics in collaboration with system engineers.
- Planning and control of electronics projects from the characterization stage to delivery.
- Implementing new technologies, creating horizontality and standardization of work, and improving processes.
- Working in a complex matrix environment with a variety of internal and external interfaces.
- Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering - required, Master's degree an advantage.
- At least 10 years of experience in electronics development for multidisciplinary systems – required, including at least 5 years of experience in department management.
- Proven experience in managing development teams, including in the areas of Board Design, RT Embedded and FPGA.
- Ability to lead technology, make decisions, and manage multiple areas.
- Experience in defining system architecture.
- Experience in developing electro-optical payloads, thermal imaging, and control - an advantage
