POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position title: Electronics Technician
Reports to: Business Operations Manager
Summary:
This position is responsible for leading electronics testing and assembly of Avionics and Li-Ion battery flight units flown on rockets, missiles, aircraft, UAS and small satellites.
Responsibilities:
• Ability to build power, data I/O and RF cables.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform wiring and assembly
• Ability to make electrical measurements in circuits (V, I and Resistance)
• Ability to use Digital Oscilloscopes, Power Meters and Spectrum Analyzer
• Ability to use thermal cycle and vacuum, vibration and shock machines
• J-STD-001 soldering on PCB with surface mount and thru hole components
• Ability to write unit assembly instructions and work with Quality Assurance
Required Competencies:
Experience
• 2-10 years of experience in the following areas: Electronics assembly and test of flight units with power, data and RF cables. Technical Skills
• Electrical/Electronics component theory and identification
• Electrical/Electronics testing and troubleshooting
• Soldering of PCB components (surface mount and thru hole)
• Electronics assembly of unit power, data and RF cables for flight units
• Computer (Microsoft Word, PPT, Excel, Sharepoint, Solid Works, etc.) Soft Skills • Strong interpersonal skills Education
• A.S. degree in electronics or equivalent training (military, etc.)
Desired Competencies:
Technical Skills
• Experience in electronics/electrical testing
• Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel)
• Electronics Assembly Certification
• Soldering, J-STD-001with Space Addendum
• PC-A-600 Acceptability of Printed Circuit Boards
• IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies

Salary Range based on experience: $45,000 to $75,000
